How We Can Help
There are several ways we can restore teeth and your confidence
1. Unnoticeable Fillings
Our Fillings Blend In To Look Like Your Natural Teeth
During your dental consultation, if we discover that one of your teeth has a cavity, we’ll carefully remove the affected portion and place a filling to restore its shape and function.
To ensure a natural look, we use tooth-colored fillings that are matched to the color of your existing teeth, making the new filling blend seamlessly with your smile.
These fillings are not only aesthetically pleasing but also safe and highly durable. They are crafted from tiny particles of special glass suspended in resin, providing excellent support to your tooth’s structure. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask!

2. Crowns
Rescue Your Chipped Or Broken Tooth With A Crown
To ensure you get the best possible care for a broken or decayed tooth, we first evaluate how much sound tooth structure remains. If you have a big broken part of a tooth but the base is sound and above the gum, a crown or full cover ‘cap’ is recommended.
Crowns are made of various materials. Most of them are only porcelain and some are made of metal inside (for strength) or porcelain outside (for aesthetics). Crowns last many years, usually longer than big fillings. A crown can strengthen your tooth and improve its appearance.
Under anaesthesia, we remove all the weak parts of the tooth structure and make a strong stump that will hold the crown (cap). Then we take a mould, send it to the lab and once it arrives, we bond it on the stump.
The dental care of the crown is very easy and exactly like a normal tooth, just brushing and flossing it regularly.

3. Dental Veneers
Transform Your Appearance With Dental Veneers!
Dental veneers are very thin shells of porcelain or resin material that are bonded to the front of your natural teeth to change the way they look. From crowding to uneven/chipped teeth, we apply veneers to the teeth to make them straighter and correct their shape, colour, length or size of the tooth.
They can also be used to close gaps between teeth or repair a chipped and damaged tooth. You can get one veneer or multiple veneers depending on your cosmetic dentistry goals.

Replace Missing Teeth
Whether you need one tooth or several teeth replaced we would love to assist you
4. Replace One Missing Tooth
Two treatment optionss for replacing a missing tooth:
An Implant
It is a titanium post (like a tooth root) that is surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath the gum that allows mounting a crown. You must have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.
For successful implantation, it’s essential to have healthy gums and sufficient bone density to support the implant. If you are considering this option, your dentist will perform a thorough evaluation, including X-rays and possibly a 3D scan, to determine the best approach tailored to your unique dental needs.
The oral care for the implant is normal brushing and flossing. Frequent checkups with the dentist are essential.

Metal Porcelaine Bridge
A bridge is commonly used to restore one or more missing teeth when the implant is not possible (because of lack of bone) or if you don’t like the idea of a surgical procedure.
It comprises one metal-porcelain piece that has two crowns joined to the artificial (missing tooth) in the middle.
Under anaesthesia, we remove the weak parts of the teeth next to the gap, take a mould, send it to the lab and once the bridge arrives; it is bonded to the natural teeth. We match the colour and bite with the opposing and adjacent teeth.
Bridges are an effective treatment in the following cases:
- If the adjacent teeth have large fillings and need crowns or caps in the future
- When the gap (missing tooth area) has gum or bone recession
The dental care of a bridge is very simple, just brushing and flossing under the bridge with special floss. The bridge is fixed, therefore you cannot / don’t have to remove it.

5. Replace Several Missing Teeth With A Removable Denture
Missing Teeth In The Same Area?
A removable denture is the most affordable option. Also, it gives support to your cheeks and lips. When we design your denture, it can reduce the number of lines and wrinkles around your face, resulting in a more youthful look. We examine your bite, your natural smile line, and how you chew. We prescribe the most suitable type of denture available.
They are generally made from a modern plastic material that is light, high strength and durable. Modern cosmetic dentures are now far more comfortable and aesthetically acceptable. It will surprise you how many people are actually wearing dentures without you knowing!
How Will I Look After My New Teeth?
The oral care for the removable dentures requires brushing and flossing your remaining teeth, removing and brushing your denture and frequent checkup with us at Canberry Dental.
Another option will be to have several implants as described above, and a fixed bridge is supported on those implants. It is a fixed bridge, which you don’t have to remove. The care will be brushing and flossing with special floss underneath the bridge.
We look forward to meeting you and solve your dental doubts and needs!
